Druids, ancient trees and gridworks in Avalon

I’m writing a week after getting home from Wales & Glastonbury (aka ancient Avalon). A wonderful thing about travel is you never know what to expect. And that’s especially true when you’re traveling on a pilgrimage.

I started with my friend Katrina in Wales where we both have Celtic ancestors. The highlight was lying inside the branches of a 5000-year-old yew tree, who introduced us to new ways of ancestral healing and to the Druids who did ceremony there - with Jesus!

Then onward to Glastonbury in England for a grid work event.

I knew it would be magical, but it’s completely different when your body meets the land. And when you’re with 55 devoted people who come together in ceremony on 10/10 at the highpoint of Glastonbury - the hill called the Tor - to sing, pray and celebrate the inevitability of a New Earth.

I can still feel the expansiveness of the Divine Feminine energy at the Chalice Well gardens. The very, very cold water I jumped into at the White Spring as I dedicated my life to the Divine plan. The emotions flooding my chest at the Glastonbury Abbey - perhaps memories of a monk at the time Henry VIII ordered it destroyed.

Like all deep experiences, this one is taking its time to integrate. It’s helping me understand who I truly am and what it looks like to be in my full power. (That’s been a lifelong journey so far!)

I’m starting to embrace my position as an elder - that I have a role as a temple guardian within the community I traveled with.

I’ve realized that this process of stepping into leadership unfolds in stages: your body, your home, the Earth.

  1. You begin by reclaiming your body. Grounding into the Earth. Opening the heart, healing the womb / sacral, unlocking the voice. You clear out the programming, patterns and energies that keep you small.

  2. You establish guardianship over your home, family and the land that you caretake. This is when you stand in your leadership outside of yourself.

  3. Then you step into a bigger role of guardianship in your community, country, the Earth.

I hope you’ll join me in this process - because I believe that together we’re going to create a much more harmonious, balanced Earth - one person, one family and one community at a time.
